about

The idea of releasing some demos had been an idea we've kicked around for a while, as there are so many. In February this year, however, we recorded three songs at The Blackbird Studio in Nashville. Initially we thought it would be neat to have those songs available in some format for July 31 as we said goodbye. It quickly became clear that not many people are going to throw money to a band who has pretty much broken up already! With the final show drawing nearer, we decided to lasso up the listenable demos, the bonus tracks, the songs previously only available through subscription services. So, here you go: a collection of the Blackbird songs, the half-released songs, the half-finished songs, and acoustic demos that we thought all deserved a chance to be heard. It has truly been a pleasure and a dream come true to write and perform in this band for ten years, and I hope you enjoy this last little nugget of (mostly) unreleased tunes. Thank you!

Their songs seek to tell real stories, vulnerably exploring truth in the emotions we experience when life and love collide—the heartaches of friendship, the exhilaration of relationship, and the innocent angst of trying to get to second base. ... more
